ColourPOP Cheek, Shadow, Lippie Pencil | Review, Photos & Swatches

Hey guys! I know it’s been a while since I had a post up but things have been extremely busy on my end. Also because I’ve refrained from beauty purchases for the most part, but ColourPOP is extremely wallet-friendly which is amazing for the beauty lover on a budget, or not! So it pretty much fits in with anybody’s lifestyle. I love that they’re against animal testing and have an amazing product range with so many shades to choose from. Check them out here: ColourPOP’s Website

They’ve expanded their line from lip products to eyeshadows, and they recently launched their cheek collection! I bought one of them to review and try out along with a lippie pencil and an eyeshadow, so without further adieu, let’s get on into it!

(“On the Rocks” Colorshock eyeshadow)

I wanted to get one of each category to try out since I didn’t want to get too much- I have enough eyeshadows that’s for sure, and I’m extremely picky about my blushes and lip products, so I stuck with the safe neutrals. I have to say though, I’m really enjoying every one of this products! I didn’t think I would be disappointed, but I am very pleasantly surprised!

Let’s start with the shadow. On the Rocks retails for $5.00 and is a golden coppery eyeshadow with a metallic finish. The directions say that the color payoff is best when applied with a finger so that’s what I did as a pop of color on my lid after I smoked out my crease and outer V and it added such a nice brightness to the eyes. I love neutral shimmery gold or copper shades on my lid, I think they compliment my skin tone and bring out my brown eyes. As usual, the pigmentation blew me out of the water with it’s gel-like consistency. If you haven’t tried out their eyeshadows, you must! Even just to touch them. They’re so velvety smooth and you get pigment even if you just lightly graze your finger over the top and it lasts all day on my lids! Looooove.

(“Prenup” Colorshock Cheek)

Next up is the blush. The shade is Prenup and retails for $8.00. I heard a few Youtubers rave about this blush saying it’s the perfect pink shade and it looked gorgeous on them! I love the color but I think cool toned pinks like this don’t look too great on my skin. I only wore it a few times though so I’m still playing around with it but don’t get me wrong- it’s a gorgeous shade with amazing pigmentation! I just don’t like how it looks on me. I think if you have a fair-er complexion, it would look stunning on you though. 🙂 It also doesn’t claim to be longwearing but it definitely lasts all day on my cheeks which is another added bonus!

(“Bound” Lippie pencil)

I heard Bound’s lippie pencil (retails for $5.00) was a dupe for MAC’s Whirl lip liner and I don’t have that lip liner but based on the swatches I’ve seen, I’d say it looks pretty darn close! And even if it isn’t, it’s the perfect lip liner for me. It’s a beautiful mid-toned pinky brown shade, a definite nude. I think this color would compliment any skin tone. It will definitely change the color based on your lip pigmentation and skin tone, but it’s so gorgeous and very wearable. After a few hours, I realized it was still on my lips after eating and drinking, I even felt like it almost stained my lips. The application was also a dream. It slides on so buttery and creamy. ugh. I loooove Colourpop, I don’t know how they do it! With their extreme pigment and inexpensive products. D:

I hope you guys enjoyed this post and it helped you guys out! I really recommend ColourPop, I think they’re a great brand and have such affordable products that work so well. Some of us really don’t have the money to be buying NARS eyeshadows for $40 a pop, (I know I don’t!) So to have an amazing line with a huge array of colors that is constantly expanding (they’re working on a pastel shadow line for spring!) it’s just such a lifesaver. 🙂

Talk to you soon!
